There wouldn't be much point of making more than one type when they all have the same job of getting something relatively small (a person and/or low amount of items) from down there\/ to up there/\.
In this game the lockers only serve to be cosmetic (not a lot of point of putting much in them except for RP purposes), but lore wise having as few models for as many jobs as possible would make sense for a company that likes to cut down on unnecessary spending anywhere it can.
By the way, I think it safe to say the rocket wasn't made just for the captain. The captains computer was just a convenient place that it could be sent to that would be easier and more obvious for anyone that got the message of the data existing to be able to find.
It's not unrealistic, even for this company, to make the captains quarters and by extension the computers within, to be made to a higher standard just for the purpose of being sure that any important info sent to the ship was received.
I thought that, even in case it was the captain, or a scientist, to use the rocket, they would want to take samples with them. Or any of those artifacts that we are unfortunately not allowed to reach.
And Cyberpunk took big companies very seriously, but became a joke itself.
Honestly I think its there in the event that a player decides "hey I can just live on this thing", but i'm willing to bet hardly anybody does it, cuz its odd <_<
Also willing to bet that with the reams of data the player brings back to earth his debt will likely be forgiven :F
Exactly. That's why I think that if I was Riley I would stash all the strange artifacts, advanced materials etc., trying to reduce my debt as much as I can.
You're just shipping them their (as they see it) own resources, for free.
In-game, it can be used as a small but inconvenient storage source if you choose to build the Neptune in some far off region.
