Keep the other in a locker by the exit to your cyclops just in case you ever do need it, but for everything else the stasis is normally the better option.

I've pretty much switched over to the Stasis Rifle now. It's just more practical and works on things like warpers and leviathans that the Repulsion Cannon isn't really that good against.
