All of that resulted in no damage, which I was slightly disappointed in. Don't get me wrong, I didn't want the Cyclops destroyed, but I think there could be a compromise. It could get so damaged that it fills with water and becomes inoperable until repaired but still remain immune to complete destruction.
The other observation I have made is that they originally wanted the Cyclops to be the mobile base of operations going about the surface and deploying Exo Suits and Seamoths. However it seems they changed their minds about the time of the under water river and decided to have the Cyclops be a much deeper diving sub... a bold move and I like it.
Everything else? nope. I even went down and up the tight canyon to the bloodkelp forests that thing was barely wider than the Cyclops, i still made it down, hitting the walls only once or twice lightly.
Use the camera feeds and you know how much space you have left on what side.
Then again. Everyone is different. *shrugs*
It used to take damage some time ago, it doesn't anymore. It's possible you went past crush depth though.
