Cant upgrade to Seamoth depth mk 2

Ive recently hit a bump in the game. I have the seamoth depth module mk1, and I have the modification station, though the mod station does NOT have an option for me to upgrade my depth module. Im able to upgrade the cyclops depth...which I dont have...but upgrading the seamoth isnt even an option for me. Is this a bug, or is there a blueprint I dont know about?

And before I have to clarify once again, I would like to point out that I am looking at the modification station, not anything else

did you create seamoth depth mk 1?

Did you bring the mk1 with you? You need it in your inventory to build mk2. Also.. does your base have enough power? It needs at least 5.

Where did you get your mk1 module? Did you build it or did you find it in a time capsule? Did you build a vehicle upgrade station?

I don't think the upgrades are a blueprint that you find.

There are some glitches in the game with items disappearing, I've never heard this one. All of the disappearing bugs I have seen are resolved when reloading the savegame.

I'm sure you have tried the obvious things like video driver and verifying the local files.

This sounds like a bug.

To test the system for local issues, I would start by placing another Modification Station in the same room to see if it performs the same.

Then I would start a new game in creative mode and build up a base quickly to test it out.

You can even try it in survival mode and use the nocost and noenergy cheat. Those were made for testing. Just don't do it in your normal savegame - it will disable achievements. And try not to spoiler yourself.

I guess then you need to find and/or build the vehicle upgrade console first. It's in the wreck in grassy plateau northeast of the safe shallows. (That's towards the nose of the Aurora in case you're not familiar with the map.)
