How deep is the underwater islands biome?

I'm talking about the ones underwater, not the floating island itself. I've never actually went all the way down there. How deep is it? I can't see the bottom.

Around 500 Meters. Super dark, a lot of silver deposits

Ironically I was just down there. The bottom is mostly bare. Lots of sharks. Uranium and Silver deposits are there as well as some vents. The seafloor is really uneven but there's really nothing of real worth otherwise.

ya for the silver and uranium its worth a trip . i built 1 of my main bases on the center island . just for fun it had 20 thermo plants powering it. 16 were at the bottom

Last I checked there's bonesharks and a lot of thermal vents.

To be quite honest, with a repair tool mostly....

Gotta keep the Seamoth topped up while scavanging around there.

You put the seamoth about 20 m above them, and seaglide around.
