For the melon it's as General Idea said, knife one to get four seeds, pick three other melons and plant the four seeds.
I tried that and I even went and crafted the regular knife and it still didn't work.
Not sure what else to do?
Use an indoor grow bed for planting your edible crops. Use an outdoor grow bed for other plants such as vines, mushrooms and other exotic plants you may come across. Amanoob105 is correct for the chinese potato.
hum, I just picked up the melon and potato and I notice in my inventory I now have two of each?
Okay, I built the planters and placed the melon in and it cut down and game me 4 seeds. I planted one in each of 4 pots.
Should I have put 4 in 1 planter? When they start growing, they go from a 1-slot seed to a 4-slot plant.
Problem solved. thanks for all of the help. Just operator error. lol
