There is the Reinforced Dive Suit. It won't make you immune to the highest temperatures, but it does protect up to 70 degrees (I think it was). With it equipped, you may still take damage, but it's literally like 1hp per 10 seconds.

I found that hole blasting out hot water near the red grass area. I have the reinforced dive suit and tried to build my thermal plants deeper but still got ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up by the heat. I settled for just around the edge where the plants are reading 60°.

The lava geysers spew out hot steam, so the temperature is naturally much higher when they do. Between those eruptions you're safe. You just got to be quick ;)
Finding the right spot where it's hot enough and you can still build is the trickiest part. Once you've set down the "draft" you can probably build it from a safer distance.
