i was so annoyed having to 24/7 trying to get more copper for batterys
and using my batterys to mine it with seaglides and flashlights to go into caves
battery charger is a prawnsend
also dont try to get the power cell charger because the moonpool charges what ever is inside so it can charge all vechiles
Learning to drive it took a little time (followed by a lot more time relearning it after they added in it being able to take damage
If you're looking for MVB parts, try the boxes in and around the many kelp forests. Their normally good places to find them. Normally.
Not gonna lie, I fond nothing around lifepod 17 and it's surrounding areas. So many people directed me to it for stuff and there was just nothing near it for me.
Some stuff was clued in nicely. Found the first Degassi island as I was supposed to, found all the lifepods without much issue, found the jellyshroom cave no problem. Pretty much everything else was a real drag. I had to to go the Aurora three times before I found the entrance to the interior. I was looking "southwest" of the enforcement platform for ages. Didn't see the opening to the disease facility until I went back a second time because google confirmed that yes, that big building really was it. Even after googling it took me several hours to find the thermal plant entrance too. I actually like how the game doesn't hold your hand 100% of the way and lets you figure stuff out, but a few of those times it was just like... can't you leave some sort of trail at all? I'm pretty sure I never would have found the thermal plant or the Aurora entrance without googling to confirm they really were just right under my nose.
Edit to sound like less of a whiner: There's a good chance I'm just dumb and blind.
For the technology progress, for me the big thing was magnetite. I had a lot waiting on that one. Once I found it I was rockin'
You can live without battery charger without wasting copper, you can just take out the battery and create another scanner with it and it will be fully charged. Costs you one titanium only and thats in abundance. Alternatively, if you racked up a lot of sulphur, you can create repair tools, it requires no battery. Just keep a couple sulphur for the cutter and the cyclops fire extinguisher if you want to build it.
Awesome advice! Nice find!
I would advise making a trashcan to throw all your old useless scanners away after removing their batteries.
I only mention that because the first few hours I played this, I didn't pay attention to that fact, and couldn't figure out why my flashlight went *piff*. I had one of those forehead-slap moments then, and said something similar to the previous paragraph.
Still, I agree that finding that one piece of tech that helps things along can make or break a game like this. Things get much easier when you don't have to find a 7/11 to buy a twelve pack of D batteries, or whatever the futuristic equivalent might be.
Aside from that it gives variety to the game, and you DO discover better power sources as you go along, such as Ion batteries and cells.
Not in my game man. I promise you, I explored them thoroughly.
