Aren't Eyeye in the game anymore?
I'm trying to create a bio-vault seabase in my hardcore game, for wich I'm collecting every single species in the game. I use the wikia to know where to find them.

I have obtained nearly every edible prey fish, from rarest to most common, with the only exception being the Eyeye

http://subnautica.wikia.com/wiki/Eyeye

The wikia says how they're common - especially in the Jellyshroom Caverns.

Well, I've so far checked all the biomes purported to have them - from Jellyshroom, to Kelp, to Grand Reef, to Grassy Plateaus, at every conceivable depth and their cavern systems - and for the life of me I haven't been able to spot a single Eyeye.

I've also restarted the game on both Hardcore and Survival, but still no Eyeye anywhere, not even at the start.

Have they removed Eyeyes from the game? I'm sure it's not a matter of me not looking carefully enough. I've managed to catch every other fish thus far and most of them are much harder to spot and rarer than the Eyeye.

Just trecked to your exact location, with the Jellyshroom's vents below me and yes! Spotted one finally! Thank you!

Wouldn't call them common though. ^^

Yeah it took me a minute to find some that would stick around long enough for a screenshot. Some kept clipping through the walls and disappearing and others were getting eaten by biters faster than i could hit f12
They are pretty common in certain areas of the shroom caves. They are just hard to see compared to their Oculus counterparts because they are very dark and their eyes don't luminate very well. I usually only see them in the Seamoth headlights and they're relatively solitary, but I do see them in little groups sometimes.
