mid-game question [spoilers]: swim charge fins or ultra-glide fins?
So, I just found the databox with the bluprint for swim charge fins, and am debating whether it is time to ditch my ultra-glides. I currently use the ultra-glides because I leave the seamoth quite often, and I also carry the seaglide in case I get in a really sticky situation and need to high-tail it back to the seamoth. Should I switch to the swim-charge fins?

I like being fast but if the swim-charge fins charge the seaglide as I use it, I suppose I could simply use the seaglide all the time. That being said, I always carry a spare battery and I have 4 batteries charging in my base, so I'm almost never out of batteries.

Thoughts?

I'm an Ultra-fins guys. 100%. If nothing else, the sound the charge fins make I found super annoying. I just carry 2 spare batteries with me.

Extra batteries take up very little space. Plus you can always swap batteries bwteen your tools.

Just keep 2 to 4 spare batteries in your base on tye charger at all times and just swap them for the ones I your tools as needed.

The charge fina may be nice, but by the time you get them, you'll be spending more time moving with the Seamoth and Seaglide, completely negating what charge you might get from the fins.

Go with ultra glide. By the time you unlock charge fins, you will have plenty of resources to have battery chargers built in your base.

I started out with the ultra-glide fins, then got the mats for the charge fins after using those for a bit. After swapping them out, I didn't feel their loss at all, because any time you need to go fast outside of a vehicle, you use a seaglide. Although really, the biggest appeal was to keep my OCD in check by having all my gadgets constantly at 100% power, and not having to bother swapping batteries in and out of battery chargers.

I actually find the ultra fins replace the need for the Seaglide and just stop using it, saves a lot of space as well.
