Anyone here know how this runs on the Xbox?

I got the PC version, but a buddy of mine doesn't have anything more powerful than an old MacBook, so he's interested in getting this for the Xbox. Does anybody have any experience with how Subnautica performs on an Xbox One S and with a controller?

I can only speak about ps4pro performance and its abysmal. It works and its kinda beautiful yet a lil bit downgraded.. but it runs like crap. Seabases and some components make the game super laggy.. hilarious pop ins. The world literally builds itself up before your eyes.. some textures can actually fail to load and you can get stuck in them. Especially if you move fast with vehicles. You can also crash your game pretty easily with that. Coupled with save crashs.

The framerate is below average all the time.. but it can get even more worse once you are in one of the deepest biomes.. some "story "structures make the game lag aswell.

All in all.. very bad console port. It is still kinda enjoyable because the game itself is just so good. But if your friend wants some stabile framerates.. this game isn't for him.

(can't imagine the xbox version perfoming better than the pspro, tho)

From what I've read, PS4 and XBOX are both fine up to certain points, then get lousy. Shorter playing times seem to help, but anything approaching a couple hours, and things start getting really bad.

I have this for PS4, and I've had times where things moved like a old fishing boat motor with a gummed-up carburetor.
