Effective Gel sack locations?

Before you simply tell me to go on the wiki, I have. I have gone to several locations listed (mostly the least dangerous ones such as MushForest and Mountain Island + top of Mountains biome itself) but have been unable to find them. At this point in the game, I am too scared of losing my valuable Seamoth to venture into places such as the Dunes/Great Reef ddue to levis. Do you just recommend I just brave my way through to these hazardous spots or is there a better (and preferably safer) location to look?

In the sparse reef there is a small group of caves that has a lot of resources in it. It's near a wreck and one of the crashed pods is in it. The worst I found in there was a mesmer. VERY rough cords is -780 -200 -800 You can find ruby, shale outcrops and gel sacks.

Gel-sacks can be found in relatively safe locations of the reeves and even in the dunes you can find them in places the leviathans won't usually dive to.
You know what's more effective? Try the knife on a gelsack, then use external growbeds to mass-produce them.

Yep. The outdoor growbed and indoor pots that you can grow things in are amazing. Just hack away at a plant with your knife and you'll get seeds that you can plant. Gel sacks give 5 seeds before breaking when natural, or 3 seeds from ones that you've grown.

This means you can make an infinite amount of any plant from just a single seed if you put in the time.

Blood kelp zone. Worth it just for the musical sting. You might even forget what you were there for.

I set up a farm of gelsacs, both mushrooms, creepvine, melons, and lantern trees at every base I make. That way I have plenty of biofuel, food, and I don't need to go scavenge for silcone rubber and lube.

The creepvines also have a nice glow when you plant a bunch of them in the same planter!

Put the exterior planter on a foundation or you may never find flat enough ground to place it.
