Lost my Sea Moth - is this a bug?
So just a few minutes ago, I was exploring the floating island, and I left my sea moth "parked" at the beach, in the shallow water. When I wanted to leave, I came back to the same location, and it's gone. It still shows up on the HUD, mind you, but when I go the the actual location where I left it, it is no longer there. Has this happened to anyone?

FWIW normally I leave it in the lake in the middle of the island, so far, it never disappeared on me there.

Never left the seamoth resting against the floor, it will be swallowed by the terrain. It happened to me several times.

Okay, that's gotta be a bug then. Because it hasn't been destroyed, the game still knows about it, you just can't see it or user it anymore.

Turn off the beacon and build a new one.
This kind of happened to me too. I went to get back in and it was stuck, nothing I did moved it, it's as though I'd accidentally, permanently, beached it! Funnily enough, I can still see the nub of the little antenna poking out of the sand :'D So I basically just gave up on it, and use it as the beacon for where the Floating Island is and made myself a second one.

I know my Prawn suit gets stuck in the floor when I try to walk more than 10 steps at a time. I have to use the grapple and hover to prevent it or to get unstuck. Only seems to happen when I`m in the facility where I drill for the green cubes near the end of the game.

I recommend DO NOT SAVE in that room. When you load back you will have problems. Having the grapple arm is a good measure.

Yesp. I lost two moths that way. Never leave them on the seabed or down against other hard surfaces. Leave them floating at least a few meters above.

Awful bug.

This is exactly what happened to me..... 4 years ago.

Strange. I have always parked my Seamoth down on the bottom tucked into little crevices so Reapers could not get to it while I’m swimming. Never had such an issue.

Don't park Seamoth on land anywhere.

Also, if there is a Reaper anywhere nearby, it can attack your Seamoth and leave it embedded in the ground even if you are few metres from the terrain. This can also happen to the Prawn when it gets attacked by the Reaper or the Sea Dragon.

Will also be destroyed by bonesharks if you leave it unattended near them.

My personal take on this is, once you get the prawn suit and the cyclops, forget about the seamoth, that tin can is not worth the effort to keep it alive.

It really depends on your play style. I had two Seamoths and used them extensively throughout the game, right up to the end. For me, the Cyclops was nice to ferry large amounts of materials while mining with the Prawn, but a total PITA to maneuver in tight spaces once you get really deep.

Well, I regularly navigate the cyclops into the blood kelp trench to reach the lost river, it's kind of a mini game for me.
