I was swimming around inside the empty Aurora, all the way from the front to the engines in the back. Confusing to navigate though, because there's invisible walls that block you as well as visible walls you can pass through like they aren't there. The vast majority of the middle and back are empty space. The intended play area occupies just a few relatively small rooms in front of the ship. I guess it does hold a secret of sorts, even though it looks more like a bug than a feature.
This door is infuriating.
It takes so long to get there and the boxes look so intentionally placed to "nudge" the player in the right direction and then it's just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nothing.
What the hell?
This feels like an intentional troll by the devs
Same, I noticed it on my first playthrough and assumed it was a real openable door by the green light on it. Imagine my disappointment on my new hardcore playthrough to find there's nothing there! I stacked some boxes but in the end the long pylons worked the best, I walked right up one.
Would love to mod something in there; maybe a cooler knife or something...
I recently got around to Subnautica after getting my hands on something that can actually run games without lighting itself on fire/crashing every two seconds, and noticed the room. I spent probably about 2-3 hours trying to get up there. Stacked all the boxes and movable bits and pieces from across the room. Every time I was getting close, the propulsion cannon would grab onto the exact wrong thing and send everything flying. I went through MINIMUM 15 batteries (ones for other tools, a few backups, and however many were on the Aurora).
Finally gave up and came out into the night (starting to get a little lighter) to my Seamoth and carefully tried to dock into my powered down Cyclops parked just outside the front zone... when I had arrived, one of those lively Reaper friends was swimming around... only to find it was not opening up for me. Went back into what I assume is a safe zone, and swam out into my Cyclops. Turns out every last power cell had ran out despite the whole ship being dark and powered down. It was still dark in the water too so I couldn't see the Reaper but I know it was just waiting around and I could hear it. Guess I have to make a mad dash to my Seamoth, absolutely book it back to my base and make some spare power cells to bring back when I rescue my Cyclops.
Whom hast summoned me from the Beyond?
