the alien gun base teleporter

Inside the alien gun base, is a teleporter near the massive moon pool. not the one in the cave on the same island, but the one in the base. How do I power the tele? ive looked everywhere and I canrt find anything...?

It's in a different alien base very deep down below where the lava flows.

Without spoiling anything - Basically every gate is either a Master gate or a Slave gate. The one you found in the cave is a Master, and upon powering it on, you power on the Slave gate and open a connection.

So every time you find a gate without an Ion pedestal, you've found a Slave gate. Just gotta find the other end to power it on. :)
