Help, made base can't attach moon pool anywhere.
Hello all thanks for taking the time here, just made a base with habitat when i place corridors off the side it still won't attach to the corridors from multiple sides... i've made corridors with verticals.. only to not be able to attach the verticals either... not sure how to get ladders to work either..... building is a pain in the azz right now just cuz i'm learning. I really wanted to do this game without getting help, but maybe this is a bug? Do I need foundations to make moonpool and vert shafts to work? Thank you for your replies XD Great game one of the best survival games of all time for sure!

Moonpools connect through the two squares on it's long side or the singles on it's short side. They should connect to other connectors as long as you don't have stuff inside the other tube near the meeting point. You also need enough space and elevation for the moonpool itself, it can't be too close to the seafloor.

Verts connect to other tubes. Can only connect to top/bottom or regular tubes, or only bottom of glass tube.

Once you have both connected on top and bottom go inside and build the ladder. Just go right where the vert is and there's a little sqaure...

Building is confusing at first.

I found that I needed to build a moon pool further away from existing structures than I expected. They will create their own connecting tubes to existing structures (where they can).

It's a good idea to remove anything from the structures you are trying to connect to (wall lockers, etc.).

Ladders will be placeable anywhere that two sections are sitting on top of each other (e.g. two tube sections or two multi-purpose rooms). I have not yet successfully used a vertical connector, but I think the ladders will work the same way with those.

My only advice is to keep trying...Move things around until they work out.
I've found the only way I was able to connect my moonpool was build up to it with a corridor and then build a hatch from the moonpool to the corridor. It connected... but you can never recover the hatch materials by deconstructing. All I know is I connected the moonpool to my base this way.

Moonpools are tricky but they connect the same way as any MPR or compartment. Lots of space and trial and error.

Issue I see with the moonpool is they don't rotate and the connection corridor doesn't show like it will when placing MPRs side by side. So you don't know for sure if it'll connect or not to your MPR or corridor until it's completed. Thankfully, if you're wrong on the placement, you're just out a bit of battery power.

Moonpools DON'T show a tube-connection while in placement mode. All other rooms, like MPR do, but Moonpools not. However, this does NOT mean, that there will no connection be placed. You will just see them, only after you have started constructing.

I had issues with the moonpool also. As mentioned you won't get an indicator that it will connect. Just line it up and get it as close as you can to a corridor and then build it. It should auto connect like mine just did. If not try a few more times. Once you know that you won't get the indicator that it will connect then you won't keep messing with it. Just build it and see what happens once you are lined up.
