Something super weird happened that I've never heard before.
I'm collecting data downloads in the Quarantine Enforcement Platform, and the second one on the way down, instead of the usual "unknown language, attempting translation" prompt, says something I can't catch and begins to play something that sounds like light jazz for about five seconds. It's literally the weirdest thing to happen to me in this game. I start up a new game and head straight to the island to see if it will happen again, and it doesnt.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? Any idea what it is? I can't find anything else about it.

You found an easter egg that triggers very rarely :)
I was also very surprised when it triggered for me, wasn't aware the game had things like it but I am paying much more attention while playing after getting this one haha

No, no, I know exactly what that is. I've run through the entire story at least three times now.. It wasn't that. It was literally 5 seconds of saxophone coming from one of the data terminals. It was so weird.

the seamoth used to have one but they removed it because it was too inappropriate.

would occasionally say "i love it when you come inside me" when you got into it
