also is there anyway to collect the materials in the brine without dying?
PRAWN suit.
Be very careful. Slow and steady and you can grab the sulphur without getting hurt much.
Sulphur is under the surface of the green rivers in the lost river. You have to look carefully to see it and then be even more careful picking it up.
Thanks. Also: I have the PRAWN suit. It's immune to brine.
I just got my hands on that material, and getting it was an awesome experience!
Entered the lost river on my cyclops thru the cave on the mountains, fearfull of the ghost leviathans there, then went out for a swim to gauge the depth, as i was allready 800+ meters and my prawn suit (without depth upgrades) can only do 900m.
At floor level depth was 860meters, so i got back on the cyclops geared up, got into the prawn suit and went for it!
As i was walking on the floor, i was constantly attacked by the juvenile ghost leviathan and those (dont know their name?) kind of eels that look like a smaller less glowing ghost leviathan, luckily i had the hull strength upgrade on the suit, and their attacks did minimal damage, plus they got a drill to the face every time they tried. Still had to get out of the suit to repair it a couple of times.
Eventually, and at a depth of 880 iirc, i found three large deposits of nickel! so if filled the suit up, got back to the sub, and started heading back.
On the way back i was attacked by that damn ghost leviathan, managed to escape with about 50% hull integrity and some minor fires on the sub!
It was very exciting!
But anyway, enough rambling.
Its on lost river, make sure you bring your prawn suit with a drill arm and if possible a grappling hook as well, and watch your depth!
"Just build a scan room!" is no excuse for this wacky implementation, and nickle in particular is a real pain compared to most materials.
Sounds like you had a great time. :D Congratulations on that experience!
This, Tree Cove is littered with nickel and it's easy to pick up.
