Grand reef, along the walls.

Thank you for the response but I don't understand what you mean. What is the grand reef? It's the red biome? And which wall do you talk about?

Any biome under 150m. They're bright red, so you'll be able to see them regardless of lighting.

It's the biome with the floating blue orbs.

It has strange floating blue balls, is behind the Aurora.

Ok thank you, but it's strange. I have been searching at 190-200 meter for 15 minutes, can't find anything.

You can also find a lot in the Sparse Reef (your PDA notes that it's unusually bereft of biodiversity), just south of your lifepod. You need to look in the crevasses.

Sparse Reef is near lifepod 19 if memory serves me correct. That's usually where I go for rubies. Lots of them and not really any enemies.

ruby also abundant where inside the flating islands. Some of them have little cave in them and there are alot of rubies.

You could just build a scanner room in the Grand Reef (Now that you know where it is) and build the HUD chip and scan for rubies.
Greep Feb 9, 2018 @ 8:34pm
Just build a scanner base far out. Rubies are more common in deeper areas so it will probably be on the list before you even snoop around. Specificially I found a bunch in various blood kelp biomes, and they're much more common extremely deep, though.

OP plz dont ask on this forum for help until you finish the game and avoid spoilers if you must know rubbies are found anywhere that is deeper than 200 meeters now there are areas thata are that deep that are not the case but as a general rule if your in a biome that is under 200 meeters chances are there are rubbies there if you cant find em assume either your not looking hard enough swim past one but did not realise that thats a ruby or that your in one of those rare biomes where rubbies are not found but plz some advice from a experienced player dont spoil the game till you have won it

no one is forcing you to read this if you are concerned about spoilers, OP is entitled to ask, whats the point of asking for help when the games finished?
