This is the ONLY fragment type that pulls this kind of BS switcharoo on you, and it's mostly foreknowledge that makes it sound like a good and fair idea. Because many like you before, and many like you to come, understandably don't expect a sudden rules change.
Drill and grapple arm wise. My most recent playthrough I had good luck with the blood kelp trench wreck (which was also my stop over to grab some data boxes.). Make sure you at least have an ultra tank, and try out the new pathfinder tool. As it's one of the more twisty wrecks despite being rather small.
RNG is just as, if not more important than knowing where those fragments spawn though. But the prawn bay full suits are a guarantee for unlocking the prawn itself.
As a future heads up on the subject of Prawn gameplay. Kyanite. The large nodes that give kyanite with the prawn drill, are the ONLY nodes that pull a sudden rules change for "You might get zero resources, because LOL". Which no other drill node in the game does.
And yeah, I already got lucky enough to ffind a crap ton of arm frags, including drill and grapple. Thanks for the info, though!
the x20 IS ON PURPOSE. As is the hidden trait of "Go into the auroura to scan the suits, then you only need 4 scans". Unlike any other fragment type in the game.
Basically, imagine a lot of bored vets who know the game map like the back of their hand over dozens of playthroughs.
Anytime you see the game switch gears from "This is the most casual survival game of all time" to "What is this bull ****?" you can thank people who wanted more bragging rights over balance.
