Deep. All over the ground. Bloodkelp forest near lifepod 2, middle of big mushroom forest.

I would say search the giant tree in the mushroom forest. You only need 1. Slash it with your knife and then plant the seeds at your base and you will never have to search for it again. Same for blood oil, etc, etc...

My usual go to location is lifepod 19. But you also find them in blood kelp zones, lost river, or similar places.

I found a couple in and near the caves about 200m down under the alien cannon installation (below the area with the beach).

I just park it above and then swim down with the rebreather/seaglide.

You should be able to swim the rest of the way down and return to the seamoth with no problem.

Well I have light tank plus all that stuff... I can do it

With a seaglide I barely scratch my tank swimming straight to surface from 500m. Gotta be quick on your toes and yes bring seamoth as far down as you can.

Honestly though you should go find the cyclops instead of making it so hard on yourself. That thing is amazing when you first get it.

I honestly need the engine. Then I can make the cyclops but I have no idea where the engine is located at

don't mind me. I'm just sheltering here until the raging opinion storm blows over. Carry on!

There's multiple locations. It's somewhat randomized I think with certain stuff being static.

Basically it's in layers of depths.

In the shallows you're only going to find tools and crap the low level stuff.

As you go deeper and deeper better and better blue prints show up.

You need to search wrecks, but the ones that are bit deeper. Think you can find it around 200m. Took me a while too but I just kept searching deeper.
