Entering the Aurora before the explosion
Has anybody done this? Is there anything different about it to after it's blown up?

You cannot enter the Aurora before it has blown up, only two access points are in the middle of the ship so without noclipping you cannot access them.

It's "closed up" until it explodes.

There one obstacle stopping you from entering pre-explosion, only a small one........The hull of the ship, yeah it has an interior after it explodes

Lol, ok, until it explodes it has no doors, hadn't thought of that.

I'm basically starting to plan my second playthrough and trying to think of new /different things to try out.

Doesn't seem to be alot of options as far as story goes. I don't recommend trying to do anything out of order as I think it bugged my game. Hoping I can still finish this one.

Only thing I could think of is possibly disable the gun before you're infected. Which means you probably gotta just swim there...

Well if you want to do something different try standing on the Arora when it explodes it will be cool to see if you go high enough for the sentry gun to shoot you

Did you build a huge awesome base last time with things like a bar, bedroom, lab, flower garden and a vertical pillar all the way to the surface leading into a five story high glass toped tower, most of which was made inside a giant cave about 200+ meters deep
No? Well there you go then.

This idea is better than mine.

Wouldn't you be infected by the time you swim all that way?

I mean, you can try sequence breaking by using console commands to spawn a scanner and a seamoth, exit the lifepod without touching the water and then entering seamoth...swim to the island with it and go on land, scan yourself to make sure you're normal and then disable the gun. I mean, of course it's cheating, but it's a nice way to ♥♥♥♥ around with the game^^

I heard someone did it, but it doesn't change the story, gun still goes off but doesn't move... so seems like they planned another way for that to end but it's bugged or unfinished.

You can avoid getting the Sunbeam blown up... but it requires you to ignore the radio early on to never trigger the actual landing countdown, and finishing the entire game to get cured. The Sunbeam still won't land though and just give you a different sound byte

That was never implemented into release.
Even if you disable the gun without using radio (not hard at all, can even happen naturally), sunbeam will be destroyed by a beam coming from thin air.
