Somewhat disappointing ending?
Ok, so anyone else feels like Subnautica has a somewhat disappointing ending? I mean, it is not bad but I feel like Devs could have had ended the game in a much stronger, impressive and breath taking way.

If you think about it - we are a sole surviror of the planetary crash landing. Fighting againtst all odds, defeating infection that killed billions and not having any human contact for x time. I think the ending shold have showed how we are actually saved by a space ship sent by Alterra Corp half way from the planet just as the transmission said. And we should see an actual human for the first time since the crash (and in game). If i was the guy stuck on a water planet with a deadly creatures and virus, the very first thing I'd love to see would be an actual living human.

But other than that I really loved the game. Gave me many jump scares and a lot of frustration trying to dodge all the dangers haha :D What do you think guys?

the ending is fine sure they could have added a cutscene of the player landing but why? we all know what happens we dont need visuals why have the devs waste more energy than needed on a cutscene that shows us what we already know the devs already nailed the rocket effects be glad there even is a ending cause i have been playing for 3 years and can finnaly win

For me the ending was perfect, flipping all the switches, hyping up the launch.
Then the final speech from the emporer tells us that leaving the planet might feel just the same as dying there, we'll never see it again.

I agree that we know what happens. But knowng and seeing are two different things. Seing actual person after so long would defenitaly end the game with a kick. I'm not saying the endin was bad or anything lol I just feel they could have had given it a bit more to make the whole trouble more rewarding. I steel think that I achieved something by finding the cure and leaving the planet but seing the actual rescue would be pretty neat ;) And yes - the final speech was pretty good but I still hoped to see an actual rescue effort... That would be like a cherry on a top of the cake <3

where talking about alterra the corporation that charged you 1 trillion credits for beeing stranded after there ship crashed besides the devs kind of rushed the release of the game cause subnautica is not a finished product a LOT of bugs and performance issues remain the reason they released it now instead of posponing till may witch is how long it would take to polish everything is cause the games already been early acess for 3 years and they did not want subnautica to be one of those games that are permanently in early acess like so many other games are so they kind of rushed the release so even if they were to add a cutscene it would be a waste of the devs time and energy i would also like a actual other human to appear in the ending cutscene but its not gonna happen
