Where find Upgrades for Seamoth and Cyclops?

I have a Seamoth but cant go beyond 200m
I made Cyclops like 10 mins ago.

I have the scanner room and have searched everything in range and below at the deep caves with 4 range upgrades.
I have the base near the starting pod.

Max range i have dived so far is 400m in a place where it was full with Warpers and the giant electroeel things (sorry didnt stay there to chat). There was also a really huge thing so i was in panic mode all the time and rushed to gather some gel sacks to plant and farm aerogel and after that i bolted so i dont know if there was anything down there regarding upgrades.

I am struggling to find upgrades for Seamoth. I have none for the matter of fact and already have 2 for Cyclops.

Can anyone give any advice at this point?
I am supposed to build bases deeper at some point?

If I am not wrong you get a station for the upgrade when you build a moon pool and when you build a mod station.

cyclops upgrades are made next to the engine on the other side from where the upgrade panel is located.

seamoth/prawn upgrades are made with the vehicle modification station in a moonpool

all upgrades that get better are then modified at the modification station


if it's finding the upgrades to begin with you need to search wrecks and escape pods

If you haven’t been to the Aurora seamoth bay there’s a mk1 pressure module for the seamoth in one of the consoles iirc.
