Are there any mods for lethal weapons yet?

I could live with having my hands arbitrarily tied when dealing with most of the lesser hostile critters, but not being able to permanently kill the hostile leviathans, and having to annoyingly sneak or dance around them while they try to eat my face, is significantly impairing my enjoyment of the game and desire to finish the story. If there are any mods for adding things like railguns or sonic weapons in either personal or vehicle mounts, I'd appreciate anyone sharing.

Yeah, hate to admit it but it’s true. Not only that but it gets rid of the whole point of the game where the challenging aspect comes from it. Making the survival knife the only weapon makes the game really really interesting

Survival has literally nothing to do with killing predators, or NOT killing them. If the scenario required you to kill them, in order to survive, then they would be related. In this game you don't have to kill them, but wanting to do so does not somehow make you ignorant of the concept of survival, nor does it somehow mean you aren't playing the game right.

Leto's comment is just another way of saying he thinks his style of play is better than the OP's style. It's tiresome, and unecessary in a solo game.

When seamonsters are hunting you, you don't hide. You hunt the seamonsters. Then you build a bigger boat out of seamonster bones, and you hunt bigger monsters. Keep going until there aren't any monsters left to hunt you.

To each his/her own I guess. I have enough shooters - I really don't need another. I personally like the fact that I have to avoid the large predators in SN. It makes the gameplay different, interesting. I'm not looking for Serious Sam IV: Under The Sea.

But that's just me.

EDIT: Ok wait, on second thought, Serious Sam IV: Under the Sea would be epic. Can you nuke an ocean?

There are lethal weapons in the game already no need for mods :). You can kill anything with a knife + stasis rifle or with the prawn(just go out and repair it from time to time).

Will not happen. The purpose of this game is to cunningly avoid or overcome agressive predators and explore a hostile world. At no point will any modders waste time creating a mod that destroys the purpose and challenge of the game. Go play a FPS instead and leave the Subnautica community in peace.

Actually, that is how humanity is about to ruin its own environment and in process kill off the basis for its own survival.GJ humanity!

But SN is a singleplayer experience and if some players prefer to just wipe out any thread that is fine.It certainly is not the way the devs meant it to be played and it would 100% break any immersion for most players, but for some others that wouldn't be a problem obviously

I wasn't planning to swim around killing everything. I just want to be able to defend myself if one of those "sharks" and other dangerous stuff attacks.

I'm not sure why it bothers you so much how others prefer to play their game?
