2 cuddlefishes ?

i found the cuddlefish but he followed me to the lava biome where I died. revived in my home base, the cuddlefish was gone.
however, I found a second egg and could hatch another cuddlefish.
questions, just out of interest:
- can I re-find a cuddlefish where I died, like the materials that were lost ?
- can you have 2 cuddlefishes if you hatch both ? just for the fun of it....maybe someone tried that.

I've found two eggs too, but I had hatched one previously and let him go to wander around outside my base.

What I'VE been wondering is if you hatch them both and keep them both in containment, will they breed? Like if you put two peppers in, you'll get a lot of peepers?

Have 3 (hatched all in the same tank) around the base from finding a few eggs, though I find it best to tell them to stay.

You can release him inside your base. When he is outisde the base and goes up to the window play with him a couple times while backing up and he will be glitched and stuck inside your base.

I've found a total of four in all. One under the grand reef, one under a mushroom tree, one under an alien claw thing and one under a reaper.

There's only about four of them on the whole planet, their going extinct. I'll give you one guess why.

I'm surprised people don't bring them along more often. There are four of them. I'd only keep it at my base if the first three died.

If I can keep it alive, it might as well keep me company.

i went to the wiki , and there is no where to be found any info about only being 4 cuddle fish eggs
are you guys sure theres only 4 , in the whole map of subnautica?

On the right. About a third of the way down. Under "Egg" oddly enough.
If you want to go look to see if there any more in these places feel free. Each one was clearly 'placed'.

Well my guess would b then that the eggs where created in a lab (experiments), and after placed/droped at random locations.

Maybe in future dlc we will find out that a fully grown "cuddlefish" is not so cuddly after all.
