Need advice on finding Alien Caches...
So beyond knowing they exist (and finding one by accident when visiting a certain dunes location) I've been trying to avoid spoiling myself while finding these caches. I know there's one near the N.Blood Kelp zone, and one in the Deep Sparse Reef.

Now, I don't want to waste hours and hours going in circles because God knows these places are massive and I get turned around easily. Any advice on how to find these places? The adventure quotient on these endeavours are what I love most about this game!

There really isn't anything beyond seeing an alien device that near the entrances. That is the one issue I have with Subnautica. Wanting people to explore your game is fine, but when you make things that hard to find with no clues as to locations, a large majority of new people who play your game will never even find it. For example, I have beaten Subnautica and I never once saw the Sea Treaders (even though I knew they existed from my first time playing it a couple years ago).

If they would have just put clues to the locations of some things, that would have been fine. For example, like how they did clues with finding a couple of the lifepods and hints as to some technologies you could get in the recorded distress messages.

There are entire technologies (Swim-charge fins, scanner room, etc) that a new player would never know existed unless they get lucky and stumble across the fragments.

I just figured out a method actually. I forgot flares were a thing so I just crafted a bunch of them and put one at each junction or dead end I came across. I found the Sparse Reef one quite handily! Now for the... Crabsquid, Ampeel and Ghost infested Northern Blood Kelp...

As for the sea treaders, I too would've never found them if I hadn't specifically heard about them and gone looking. As it is, it's quite amazing to see the 'path' they left. I build an entire observation pod by the Grand Reef side just to watch them walk by. :D

You have to get lucky and just accidently find those light things or the doorway
The Seamoth Sonar and Cyclops Sonar can pick them up far beyond what you can see normally so you could try using them

The secondary lab in the lost river is easy to find. if you head down via the deep grand reef in pretty much leads you right to it. When you run into the first giant skull, there are power lines leading right to the room. It needs an orange tablet.

The others I'm not sure of. I found the one in the deep sparse reef once but there wasn't any really good landmarks or anything. The dunes is probably the easiest one to find.

I was kind of hoping they would be close to the archs or have a nearby escape pod but there really is no luck for that.

Yeah I found the last one! The northern blood kelp one was the worst - it's so dark I can't tell where I've been so the flares realllllly helped remind me where I've been. Turns out I'd been searching in circles in this one tiny little area before, but when I looked around there was at least another crevasse I'd totally missed, and goodness knows how many more I've missed.

First thing I saw when I reached the bottom was a green glow, and I was like 'oh THAT was easy to spot... IF I'd been in the right place!'. So yeah. Flares. Flares everywhere.
