Radiation suit doesn't work...

Hello there, i'm finding a bit of a problem here .. I crafted the radiation suit as soon as the ship exploded but i'm still loosing life when i enter the zone near the aurora ... what do i do

are you wearing the full rad suit? do you see the radiation warning on screen?

This game is full of bugs (Hello, people clipping through the aurora to their doom), so I would belive if you were being hit by such a thing.

But I still have to ask the stupid question. Are you wearing all three parts of the radiation suit? The body suit, gloves, and helmet? Because you'll get hurt if you are wearing the rebreather and 2/3 of the radiation suit, for example.

You can get used to it automatically putting the helmet on when you craft if if you build it before you made the rebreather, so that's the top reason for "Whoops I wasn't wearing the full suit".

Man... this wasn't in the early access right ? I just got the main body part of the radiation suit and the rebreather on ... haha... but where do i find this stuff ? i'm making quick travels to get what i need because i'm scared af down there

Man... this wasn't in the early access right ? I just got the main body part of the radiation suit and the rebreather on ... haha... but where do i find this stuff ? i'm making quick travels to get what i need because i'm scared af down there

If you crafted the radsuit, it should be the suit, the helmet and the gloves.

Well, what is intended to happen currently is that when you craft the radiation suit, it spits out all three parts. Body, chest, and gloves. Though if you are already wearing equipment on your head/chest/hands, and your inventory is too full up, you won't automatically grab em.

If you are not wearing anything, crafting it puts it all on immediatly. But stuff like the rerbeather would mean having to stop and equip the radiation helmet yourself.

It's been a finicky thing, and this game has had it's share of odd bugs, along with "Oh no that stupid thing is working as intended" and then bugs combined with "working as intended"

You may have seen that thermomoter chip in your blueprints list. You will find you can't craft it.
It's on purpose you can't craft it, that was changed many months ago... But it being on your crafting list (I could have sworn they removed it from the list succesfuly?) which of course is leading to much confusion at launch, just like when they removed the ability to craft it in the first place.

So don't be afraid to ask questions. This game's had a twisty turny history that means even knowing how the game should work is no guarantee for sane results.

I wasn't bare hands in game so i guess i got the gloves but as for the helmet i wonder ... i'll check in game later but i appreciate your help guys

Well I knew beforehand that i'll get itchy from all the bugs but i felt stupid when going the aurora happily and then getting afraid of the radiation .. also is there something really happening 24hours after the explosion if we don't stop the leaking ?

Nah, the timers are practically flavor text for how accurate they are for anything. One time I built an outpost by the aroura ahead of time and it didn't explode for over an in game weeks worth of sunsets and five hours real time, after the "Explosion in one two hours" warning.

All you gotta worry about is-
A: The auroura explodes.
B: The water is now radioactive around it.
C: Once you repair the reactor, it will rattle off flavor text number for how long until the radiation goes away. Give it a couple in game days to be safe.
