The Deep Dark Ocean

I'm having a hard time progressing and I'm not sure what to do. I finally got the huge submarin that goes 1300M but I am unsure where to go to get that deep. I usually hit around 400M before I hit a drop off where the huge guys are hanging out. Down below there are usually around 3 of the mean huge guys chasing me as I attempt to get deeper but I can't find the bottom. Is this an area where I am not supose to go or will I find something further down? Where can I find the islands and alien facilities? I don't care about spoilers. :-) Thanks for anyone whoi can help me out.

there is an entrance to the underground areas at the grand reef, look for the wreck there and it will be within 100m, there are also others but this is the easiest to find

There are two more entrances that I know of. One in the Floating Island/Blood Kelp zone and one in Dunes. It has been a few patches since I made it down in either of those so I don't know if they are still viable entrances for the cyclops.

Sounds like you are in the "void" and there is nothing!
You can go deeper and deeper! I was at 20.000 and one other was at crazy 300.000???

If you are in front of the aurora backside and looking to the back of the aurora then turn left (90 degree) and go... ( slightly a bit right (on a clock at 1o'clock))
Just go!

The other one is same position but turn 180 degree also slightly right (same clock position)
And just go till you hit land!

You can also look for a map of subnautica with all positions and Biomes if you don't care!

the dunes one was removed, there is one in the southern blood kelp and one in the bulb zone

If you go to Lifepod locations, there is usually a reason they want you to go there. Lifepod 2, for example, is very close to an entrance to the Lost River which is the next area you need to go.
