How limited are resources? Want to play again but unsure...
I played this game a long while back during Early Access, I've wanted to come back for a while now after seeing that the game has a full story mode and such but I keep finding myself hung up on one detail, the resources. From what I remember resources are non-respawning and thus require you to span over larger areas to gather more materials, but in playing this I would also like to make a fairly large base and live comfortably for some time rather than just play the story entirely, spending 100/200+ hours on a world seems like it would practically drain it of all resources, making things like batteries or other items that may break that require natural resources to become impossible to make from that point on. Are there enough resources now to allow for, not endless play obviously, but somewhere near? More than anything I just want to be sure that I won't end up losing all progress because I suddenly can't find any more copper no matter how high or low I look.

Food: fish re-spawn you won’t run out

Water: there’s plenty of salt for making disinfected water until you find a machine that makes it from ocean water (and you’ll never run out of that)

Power: most of the sources for power use renewable sources.

Batteries & power cells eventually can be recharged so you won’t always need to craft new ones endlessly.

You should have plenty of other resources to build a very good sized base! May take a while to get all the resources needed but it can be done!

I think you could in fact play almost endlessly on one save.

As long as your buiilding not near , the crop will respawn really fast .

Not asking in terms of crops, I know those are renewable, I also already know fish do respawn, I'm asking about resources like titanium, diamonds, quartz, etc. For example would it be possible for me to take so long to finish the game (I'm really scatter-brained when it comes to survival games...) that eventually I fully run out of resources to keep myself going?

Unless you're getting seamoths and cyclopses destroyed left and right, you'd have a very hard time permanently using up the resources in, say, the safe shallows alone.
