Found a PDA but no update.

I found a PDA that did not give me any update. Absolutely nothing happened. The location was in a wreck above a lithium/Deep Shroom cave. More exact location: 1180 m w-sw of your escape capsule. Seems every PDA prior to patch updated?

Did you get the PDA already in that saved game? Every update refreshes the entire game world so every fragment, resource, abandoned PDA, etc., will be respawned but if you've already gotten an abandoned PDA before then nothing will happen if you get it a second time.

Hi Salinite. Thats interesting to note. This wreck was sealed. I used a welder to open it. The crate was also sealed and yielded only titanium so i had probably discoverd its contents elswhere. The PDA on the other hand yielded nothing. Do you think the game has identical PDA's spread thru out? Then that could explain why it did not update. I just don't want to continue not knowing for sure if its a bug. And LOL to the resources respawning hehe (i think thats lame ;) ). I collected 3 multipurpose rooms with resources in the large lockers ;)

Ps. there is such a thing as an abondoned PDA? nvm then :) I have not found a new wreck in so long...

I've had that happen twice. Was told it probably contianed blueprints that I already had. Did you find titanium in your inventory?

The case i opened gave titanium so i know that i had it already :) but the PDA i found as well is the mystery. It was still sealed in an unexplored wreck so i know i never found that one before. However as Salinite states there are abandoned PDA's. It never updated or gave any message.

It could have simply contained a duplicate blueprint, the same as one you already somewhere else. That's what I was trying to say.

Oh. The ones that give blueprints are called 'Databoxes'. You can scan for those in a scanner room.

The ones that you actually just read are the 'abandoned PDAs'.

Maybe the sealed doors and whatnot also get unflagged upon update, so that you have to cut them open again.

Thats for the input. I finished the game since posting. Was wondering about the radio being quiet for so long too. Once the radio stops sending messages there is a large portion left to do.
