Do you have lava larva stuck to you? Make sure you don't have Silent Running on, I know you said everything is off but just checking.

Medkit dispensers also drain power while creating a new medkit but that's nowhere near enough drain go crash a cyclops and is more an early game base problem.

Battery chargers sound like a small thing, but even regular batteries will murder the cyclops's engine. God forbid you put a single small ion battery you had in your welder into a charger on the cyclops outside of the lava biome.

Though I expect you have nothing 'draining' like even a battery charger, so I agree with the above mentioned silent running as the next thing to consider.

That said, Lava Larva still even at launch can clip inside your cyclops. So it's also possible there is one clipped to a position that is not even visible.

If you have confirmed there is nothing on your personal end you could be doing to cause a drain, that's one of the most likley "Jesus these Q1 2017 bugs in a Q1 2018 launch" causes. So hopefully it really is "OOPS! I left silent running on!" and just down to the cyclops energy economy being a joke.

We can break orbit and activate faster than light travel on two ion cells. But running your sonar strains 6 of them.

Looking on the way he posted, I wouldnt be surprised if he's running on 6 batteries with silent running and sonar active...
Sometimes I wonder how people even managed to install a software...

Larvas not visible shouldn't be an issue, if it shows up on the hull HUD, turn the shield on for a second and all are gone at once.

...then again, all this has been written in several threads already.

It's an issue when you can't remove them and activating the shields leaves them still wedged into the internals of your cyclops.

If the worst this game had with it's plethora of bugs were merely cosmetic, the game would be in a much better off state.

Ah I get it, you mean when they are "glitched" in the ship and you use the shield, they won't go off? Yeh, that might suck.

i figured out was wrong i didnt relize that having three power cell chargers on the cyclops was the problem but like i said everything was off silent running sonar and i also checked twice for those larva bugs

Wait... you where using a Power Cell Charger on the Cyclop to recharge the Power Cell to run the Cyclop, even tho that very Power Cell Charger is using power from the Cyclop? Is that not a loop? Was that a bug before and somehow give you endless power?

It was in fact a loophole to endlessly power the Cyclops! Obviously it’s been corrected now.
theresejesu Mar 11, 2018 @ 5:45pm
There is a way to charge your cells with a docked seamoth with a solar charger, you don't drain ata 1:1 ratio, so you can eventually catch up.
Natjur Mar 11, 2018 @ 5:48pm
The Cyclops Thermal Reactor Module gives me endless power anyway. Lots of Thermal vents, and if I run out for some reason, The Prawn also has the The Prawn Suit Thermal Reactor module so I can walk that to a vent and swap the power cells.

Ion Power cells later for a long time anyway, never got under 50% power on the Cyclops except for the first tme in the lost river, before I had the Cyclops Thermal Reactor Module and did not know about lava larva

no i had the original 6 power cells that were in the cyclops then i placed three power cell chargers inside the cyclops and crafted 6 more power cells so when the ones ran out i could just stick 6 new ones in then start charging the old ones
UrnextFath3r Mar 11, 2018 @ 6:11pm
so i had a total of 12 power ells on the cyclops

you where close.

and yes, i was thinknig the same thing.

why does every one have such a hard time with understanding basic laws of energy?.
