You don't get tutorials when you're the only survivor of a crash on an alien planet. Lucky we have the PDA... lot of people don't read it.
I dig it.
The exception are bloodvine and creepvine, you pick up seeds and blood oil withou knife and plant them in growbed.
Bloodvine, creepvine, gel sack, deep mushroom are always cultivated outside my base for quick resources.
Creep vines in an exterior grow bed make a good light source for a base at night or in the deep dark without causing any aggro (I think) for sea creatures.
The first and only tutorial you get is that you can knife creepvines and table corals for resources. The rest is up to you to experiment with. (Luckily I got into the habit of knifing all plants I came across and was rewarded with knowledge that knife = seeds).
Domesticated mushrooms won't hurt you in a growbed when knifed. For optimal inventory management, grab one or two mushrooms WITHOUT knifing them, plant them in your growbed, then knife them there. They won't hurt and you'll save space while hauling them back to base.
I didn’t know that. I assumed my improved suit made a difference.
Cheers dude, It's only when you know, then it seems simple. Glad the shrooms can be harvested.
