Alien Cave
All right, while looking for suitable place for my new base, I found an alien cave at the Carg Field biome, at -80;300(or so);1300 to be precise.
I walked inside (it has a shield at the entrance) and I found an abandoned portal, but I coulnt find a way to turn it on.
It is possible?, or is just an empty cave withouth meaning???

if it's the one i'm thinking of in the caverns, i haven't found a way to activate it.

Portals (or "alien arches") come in two's, One 'master' and one 'slave'. Only one end, the master, can be turned on to activate the both of them allowing travel from one to the other and back.

You found one of the many slave portals, so somewhere on the map you can find its master.

Acording to that wiki, the portal I found is a slave to one located in the primary containment. Odd.

Nothing odd about it. There are four slaved portals in the world. The Crag (not Carg) Field gate is just one of them.

i've opened all the portals (i think) in the PCF, and still have one gate that hasn't opened, not sure what the heck i missed.

If there's one that hasn't opened, then what you missed was another master gate, somewhere. I can't be more help than that, I don't go down there much.

How many did you open in the PCF?
Whats the location of the slave gate that's still locked?

I think it has six (one is internal only), but the PCF is not home to all of the master portals. I think two can be found on the mountain island.

Thats the one in/under the Mushroom forest then?

Back left as you're facing away from the main entrance to the PCF to turn that one on - it's the one I use most as it's closest to my main surface base....
