Can fauna in the alien containment get the virus. For some reason, my fish all started getting the virus. And they were fine before. The only thing I did was added membrain tree and sea crown to the alien containment. Can flora infect fauna? I noticed too that some fish clip through my habitat. Maybe it infected my fish that way.

They can get the disease but it's just cosmetic. They won't actually die.

Maybe they got the disease from you?

I was wondering that as well, if going in and out of the alien containment can infect what's inside

define fine. My understanding was that everything was infected apart from the peepers that go in and out of the vents. Yes, there's an advanced stage of infection with pustules, but that doesn't mean normal-looking fauna are healthy.

No, you have to release an infected fish in there to infect the others. Plants do not pass on the infection, neither does going in/out of the fish tank. You may have missed it when you released an infected fish into the containment.

Now, this works differently if done backwards. If you grab a bunch of fish from alien containment and release them into the environment instead, each of t hem has a 'chance' of being an infected fish upon release.

To avoid accidental infections, I put the fish in my hotbar first. If it looks infected in my hand, I toss it in the bin and look at the next fish.

yes they will pass the infection on to each other something that might be able to be fixed in the tank with a shimmering peeper.

That's a very smart idea, I'll have to do this. Thank you.
