Can Subnautica be played in VR with keyboard and mouse?
Like the title says, how feasible, if at all possible, would it be to play Subnautica in VR with keyboard and mouse? I just got a Vive and I'd love to try it but I read motion controls don't work and I don't have a half-decent controller to use for it.

Yes, I play it with keyboard and mouse + oculus all the time, works just fine if you have the muscle memory of where your buttons are.

I do remember when I first started the game in VR I had to change a setting to make a cursor appear, otherwise it's almost impossible to select stuff in the PDA or in menus, but I just checked and I can't seem to find that same setting, so maybe it's automatically enabled in VR now. I dunno.

Iirc you need to disable the gamepad option if you want the cursor to appear.
But iirc it also won't appear in VR mode options.
So you'd need to start non-vr to disable that setting.
Also on a sidenote set the option for the tablet to go as far away from the camera s you can in non-vr mode. Else you'll get your eyes twisted real quick.

Heck a lot of options are straight up not there in VR mode.
But changing them in non-vr mode still affects VR mode.
