According to Wiki, you can breed them but supposedly. I have grown 3 beds each 4 pieces of each variety. But nothing is growing. This means that you can grow from the useful plants only 2 varieties. Laut Wiki kann man die aber angeblich züchten. Ich habe 3 Beete jeweils 4 Stück von jeder Sorte angebaut. Da wächst aber nichts nach. Das bedeutet das man von den brauchbaren Planzen bloss 2 Sorten anbauen kann. Auch im Zuchtbecken habe ich mal 4 Pilze reingesetzt, die wachsen auch nicht. Sollten die Fische die man da rein setzt, sich nicht vermehren? Ich weis nicht mehr weiter, hoffe es kann mir jemand helfen. Sorry für das Englisch, ist Google Übersetzer

Technically: Slash a grown mushroom with a knife. Each slash will give you one seed and one mushroom is good for 3-4 seeds (can't remember which, probably 4). So, each time you can triple or quadruple your mushrooms. Same principle works with many other plants: slash to get seeds, plant seeds, seeds grow to full versions, repeat.

Fish multiply in the Alien containment unit provided you've at least two of the same species. Don't know whether you meant the aquarium or the alien containment unit with the "breeding tank" but you need the latter.
