What is the scariest biome?
In your opinion?

I personally found the crash zone the creepiest.

Well, I haven't been everywhere yet but for some reason I find the Underwater Islands to be particularly unsettling.

Between being close to the void, thereby having both Reapers and Ghosts not too far away and the Bonesharks around you? Yeah, I will be parking my sub elsewhere, thank you very much lol

For some reason, that announcement freaked me out more than pretty much anything else in the game, and I turned tail out of there.

I haven't encountered that message again (second playthrough), but I'm assuming it was just the entrance to the Lost River.

It's actually talking about the B K trench
That sounds right.

Blood Kelp Zone "This ecological biome matches 7 of the 9 preconditions for stimulating terror in humans."

NOPE! Nope, nope, NOPE!
It was too late at night to go into THAT...

The bulb zone, especially in the cave with the Degasi habitat, that's littered with warpers and crabsquids. I'm constantly spinning around to check my 6. It's especailly initimidating to be in that habitat, with a crabsquid's gaze locked onto from the other side of the window.

Good thing I had the repulsion cannon handy...

The place you're describing is the Deep Grand Reef, the Bulb zone is the one with the ampeels also known as the Koosh.

Blood kelp area at night. You can't see for crap at night and the crabsquid and ampeel doesn't help.

Ehm... Crabsquids don't live in the Jellyshroom Cave where the Degasi base is. Those would be the crabsnakes. Crabsquids don't live in the bulb zone either... They live in the northern bloodkelp zone as well as in the deep grand reef and near the bonefields in the Lost River.

Dunes, because you're out in the open.

You sure it's not the reapers? Or the warpers? Or the warpers that warp you into reapers?
Those are not biomes.

You might have forgotten about this post and already found this out by now, but even so, he WAS talking about the Degasi base. There are three Degasi bases: One on the floating island, one in the Jellyshroom cave and one in the deep grand reef (where the crabsquids spawn). So this is incorrect, for anyone who comes along and ends up thinking that there's only two bases.

A two year necropost. Thanks SO much Bubbles...

lol it's already revived, might as well post my opinions.
I always found the Blood Kelp trench the scariest... I first came there when I came loking for a lifepd... I think CTO Yu's. Then the PDA opened it's big mouth. I was like let's just get the stuff from the lifepod and run! I parked the seamoth, unknowingly, below 500 meters. By the time I came back, it was half broken. I repaired it and parked it a bit higher. Then I went deper. Big mistake. Got rekt by a ghost. My first death not counting drowning.

I think The Lost River is the scariest biome

Those floating things in the avhievment for the deep degasi base always allure me. I partly think they are beautiful but they look so alien I don´t like them. I think it´s over the deep grand reef somewhere, but the whole grand reef is just dark and uncomfortable for me.

I don't like the underwater floating islands because it looks so deep from the top. Warpers, I don't care, bonesharks? Their my friends. I've never encountered the reapers though. But the problem is the deep drop, the murky water. I'll just go ahead and say my opinion on every biome, which is dumb, but whatever, and if your gonna complain about how you don't care about this, well, at least you cared enough to comment about this. Safe Shallows, I like. The Kelp Forest, like everybody, was scary at first, now it's just boring. The Grassy Platous, (Sorry, I spelled that wrong), this biome was scary at first because of the sandsharks, but to be honest, now I find the place really nice and peaceful. The crash zone, I never experienced the true horror of the reapers. I was always able to avoid the reapers, and even when I went to the back of the Aurora, I never encountered the reapers. The void, it doesn't seem that scary to me. I dunno why, but the black pit seems fine to me. Like the floating islands, I hate the murky waters more. Also, like many people, I killed a juvenile ghost leviathan, so the adults don't scare me. The lost river isn't scary either, mostly because I killed the ghosts. The lava zone is fine, except for the sea dragon, it was so hard to avoid. The blood kelp zone was fine. When I first went through it though. I was horrified at first. The bulb zone is horrifying to me during night. And trying not to get my seamoth or prawn suit destroyed is hard with all the bone sharks and ampeels. The mushroom forest is super safe, I think one of them has bonesharks though. Somebody said that the Dunes aren't a biome, but I'll talk about it either way. The dunes, I never actually came across. i did go to them in creative mode to try to build a base around a reaper leviathan to trap it.
Edit: I might've forgotten I few biomes, but it's not like anybodies gonna care.
