good place for copper?

im tired of searching for stone chunks, i want a reliable place to find copper.

silver is in the lost river forest.
gold is anywhere deep.
titanium is easy to find with a scanner room.
lithium in mushroom forest.
magnetite in the purple caves.

but where is copper?

Would suggest the wiki, there should a list of biomes with corresponding minerals.

everywhere else .. limestone.. kelp/grassy/aurora/shallows/bulb (also good for sandstone) / Mushroom forest, seen some in grand reef, etc.

Copper is all over, just more rare than the others. You can find it is lost river like silver. I remember finding a node or two in the cave near lifepod 2 while going into the river...

It's more difficult to spot due to it's color and texture. The shape is pretty unmistakable though.

but for now get a scanner room search for limestone. there is SO much of that stuff. i tried finding it all and in the end i had a locker full of titanium ingots and 5 lockers of copper. and i never saw any respawn in any of the 3 large coral tubes where you initially find an abundance.

i would suggest limestone chucks which are usually found in shallows, kelp and grassy zones and sometimes in the mushroom tree zones and the crash zone.

otherwise if you have a prawn with a drilling arm and found a copper deposit, you have yourself something there.

too much, i wouldn't suggest you keep the scan going for too long, the whole area will be covered in hud markers and it will slow your computer down there more of them there are.

too much, i wouldn't suggest you keep the scan going for too long, the whole area will be covered in hud markers and it will slow your computer down there more of them there are.

yeah it did.
it almost made me sick.
the low fps of 100's of limestone markers on the screen.
but someone mentioned it to me so ill mention it to you guys.
if it becomes too much just open your inventory and remove the scannerhud cpu that'll at least clear your view AND the scan is still going :P

The large copper nodes are around the outer edges of the mushroom forests, in the lost river junction area in the green acidic water, and all over the place in the ILZ. I've got 4 lockers full of copper and 4 lockers full of copper wire just on my Cyclops. ;)

Copper is most common in the Mushroom Forests in my experience, followed by the the Blood Kelp Trench/Dunes border. If you're in the Lost River you'll find everything there so no worries, just scan.
