Where are the deep areas of the map?

So I have a mk3 depth module for the Cyclops and a Mk2 for the Prawn. Trouble is I don't know any locations that are that depth. I've been to the lost river, are there any other places I can check out and use my Cyclops and prawn?

All pathways to the last areas of the map (lava zones) are through the lost river

The cyclops depth module mk 3 requires kyanite... as does the mk 2 for the prawn.

Kyanite is only found in the lava zones

so... how did you get these upgrades?

Likely found a time capsule and it messed up where the game wanted to push him towards.

Probably time capsules.

In general, the darker and scarier a place is, the more likely there's a way into the deep dank depths you need to go to.

I've already lost 1 cyclops to the dead zone. I managed to salvage the Mk3 depth module just as I died from trying to retrieve it for the 12th time, sliding down the dead zone. Screw those ghost leviathans. Yeah, found it in a time capsule.

I found the lava area and picked up 28 Kyanite, so it was pretty good.

You don't need the cyclops at all.. The Prawn Suit is all you need or build a base near a entrance of the inactive lavazone to reequip your prawn und get food and water on survival.

The Prawn can dive without a depth module at 900.. get the stuff for the first module and you get 1300 meters.. the last items are collectable for the mk2 module... to get to the last and deepest story part.

It still passes through the lost river. But that is the shortest route.
