Cannot Deconstruct Water Filtration Machine
Every time I try it says that storage container is not empty. There are no items in the 4 slots. I assume it means the salt or water building up in it but if that is the case it is never empty. Is it a bug? Really frustrating that its stuck there and I cannot remove it....

I think it's a bug. Yesterday I tried to deconstruct a completely empty tube and it told me the same, that the storage container is not empty which didn't make any sense at all since there was nothing in the tube.

This can happen when you haven't entirely deconstructed something else.
I wanted to deconstruct two windows while my inventory was full. First window went down to 1%, then I got the "Inventory full" message. Made some space, tried to deconstruct the second window (for whatever reason), and got the "Storage container not empty" message. Then I deconstructed the first window and was able to deconstruct the second one.

Now that you mention it, I think I had started constructing a window somewhere else but I stopped because I didn't have all resources at the time, that's when I tried deconstructing that (glass) tube. It all makes sense now.

The WFM has had issues with deconstruction for a long time, but I thought they'd manage to get rid of most of them. It used to be a bigger problem back when they had a bugged power drain and could not be sustained by any amount of energy generation, since you ended up being stuck with a powered-down base as you couldn't remove the machine.

Well looks like its going to be stuck in the room I had other plans for.. Maybe I will try deconstructing everthing else near it that I can first.

I was getting the same "storage container is not empty" error when trying to deconstruct an empty WFM, and it turned out the problem was a nearby locker. They weren't touching and visually weren't even particuarly close to each other (WFM on one wall of multipurpose room, locker on the next wall section over) but once I relocated that locker I could deconstruct the WFM. So check whether you have any other containers anywhere near that WFM.

Yes, I can confirm this as well. Lockers placed next to it will trigger the "Storage container is not empty" response. I ended up having to empty the locker and deconstruct it before deconstructing the filter.

Forgot to come back and confirm that this was indeed the situation.

I still have this bug with the wall planter. I made a thread about it. Can't interact with it, can't desconstruct no matter what.

Thank you! This was the issue for me as well.

I just had that issue as well. To be able to be deconstructed, it has to be empty (inventory) and it can't have percentages (looking at the WFM). So I cut the power when its inventory was full, picked everything up and was able to deconstruct it.

This fixed it for me. A container was close and I had to deconstruct it first. Also had to cut power when it was full and I removed the inventory before I deconstructed but with power OFF. WFM has been moved!!! :trazz:

I have this happen for all kinds of different items. I separate many things at a good distance to make sure it doesn't happen.

I had this issue happen and had to deconstruct the locker on the wall next to it.
