There are a few modules you can actually build while standing inside the base, so you can keep "safe" while extending outwards. Not sure if they're capable of actually damaging the base or not, but I'm quite certain they won't actively target the modules themselves.
Thank you for the information, I didn't know the max was 3. I thought the game would just keep spamming you. I think as long as I've got the Seamoth with the defense system, I should be fine. I'll just zap whatever grabs me, and get a rudimentary base up in 30 seconds. Then I'll cower in there, dash off after a bit and let the fellas despawn, and then return with supplies for a power source. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Then build an observatory, obviously.
Ooo good idea, thank you.
Didn't know it had a bottom. I'll go check that out, thanks for the recommendation.
I did build a multipurpose room on the edge of the abyss up North where I lost my cyclops. It was a base of operations for recovery of the wreck which was destroyed by ghost levs.
Interesting. If you cannot find the location, I may go searching for it once my other bases are built.
The void has no bottom, the land does. I went down to 10200 m before getting bored. There’s nothing that deep, including ghost levs. They stop chasing you at 3000 m, which is where the land ends, and you can swim UNDER the land if you want.
Oh and they're not juveniles, they're full grown adult ghost leviathans. Making them the second largest creature in the game.
They're cool as hell tho. XD
