Alien Containment releasing them into the wilds.....
So those creatures raised in capitivity don't attack you, can you release them into the wild to protect your base against other predators?

They might attack you. Not sure.

The Sea Emperors are harmless. They only feast on bacteria as stated in a certain databank found in the lava castle I believe.

Yes, you can. You drop egg in containment, wait until it hatches, pick the fish up, go outside and release it. You "pets" will not attack you(I have a few myself).

Raise a couple stalkers in the tank. Put them outside your base with 5 or 6 scrap metal. Stalker teeth for days.

Just so you know, after a little while the creatures will revert back to their angsty ways. They do not stay passive.

Other cool thing is reefbacks.
At one time I was worried that they would break my containment, but they do hatch and they stay small. Pretty cool having reefbacks.
But, when you let it loose in the wild it becomes full size instantly.
Fun to let'em off in odd places like a bomb.

Normally aggressive species will not attack you if they were hatched in the ACF. Other than the Cuddlefish, they will gradually disperse over several in-game weeks.

Just so I don't introduce any undue complications to my game I only release the docile creatures and leave the predators as museum exhibits in my aquarium.
