You cannot drop scrap in the aquarium, so no.

Why bother? Just go to a Kelp Forest.

If you want a stalker tooth farm, the best thing I can think of is load up your seamoth with storage. Park it as close to the front of the aurora as possible. Bring a bunch of bred/hatched stalkers, and scrap metal. Bring all the scrap metal to the drive room pool, then bring the stalkers. Profit.

Or just... Go to a Kelp Forest and give a Stalker some metal scrap?
You can pick it up again and drop it again for the same Stalker and repeat ad infinitum.

The man wanted to know how to make a farm, I told him how to make a farm.

Problem with kelp forest is the vegetation that blocks the view. Rather want to have a place where there's no grass that can obstruct it so that the teeth are visible.

As for releasing stalkers, do they stay near the area where I release them and would 2-3 pieces of scrap be enough for them to be content?

They will stay in the drive room for sure if you put them there. They might despawn if you leave, I am not sure. And depending on how many stalkers you have, the more scrap the better. 2-3 scrap is good for 2-3 stalkers.

I suppose the aurora could become a farm, rather have something closer by though

Then honestly your best bet is either the kelp forest or release them in the safe shallows and hope they don't eat you/swim away. Aurora Drive room is the only thing I can think of that could be close to a 'farm'.

Well, i have a base near the sea treaders path, using it as an intermediatery stop over base on my way down. Would they stay near the lava vents you reckon?

They might. I haven't messed around with bred/hatched creatures in a long time. I don't know if they wander or despawn or not. They SHOULD stay, judging by how this game works, but I can't guarantee it. Worth a shot, I suppose. But it seems like just throwing scrap at stalkers in the kelp forest would be easier.

Guess I've already have a farm. I seem to have herded a stalker away from the kelp forest (it bit me so I stabbed it) and now its roaming around my lifepod base. I've given him 2 scrap metal so he's gonna be happy, I hope.

Haven't tried this but it's the idea stuck to my mind... Find a place with lots of stalkers, bring scrap metal and a gravball.... Drop the ball and metal and enjoy.

There you go :D Just keep feeding him scrap/fish and he'll be your buddy and tooth vending machine

This is a good idea. I'm gonna try it.
