Seamoth disappeared
I was farming shale outcrops at the island towards the north (the one next to mushroom forest and Warpers).
There’s also a Reaper Leviathan that patrols a small area next to the mushroom forest and island.
I left my seamoth in the mushroom forest, specifically because the Leviathan is too large to fit in between the “trees”. This theory was tested multiple times by aggro’ing the Leviathan and swimming back to the forest for cover.... the big guy can’t get in, I’m sure.

I swam no more than 300 meters away to farm shale, and upon returning maybe 10 mins later, my seamoth is nowhere to be found. The only evidence of it ever being there was some titanium ore I dropped next to it before leaving, to free up some inventory space. So the ore remained, but my vehicle disappeared into thin air.

I loaded from last save and still no seamoth. Checked my PDA and it’s not even an option anymore, so it’s definitely gone.

Here are my questions:
IF my sea moth was somehow destroyed by the Reaper Leviathan (which I don’t think is possible because of where it was placed), would there be some sort of wreckage where I left it?... basically indicating it had been destroyed?

Second question:
Is it possible for a Warper to destroy the seamoth? That’s the only agressive fauna that would have been capable of coming into contact with it (I’m positive there were no Bone Sharks patting the area). I’m under the impression Warpers only interact with players and mobs- not vehicles. Please let me know if I’m wrong?

Third question:
Is there a command for spawning a seamoth depth module mk1? I just realized I found the depth module in the drive room on the Aurora.... meaning after crafting a new seamoth I can no longer go 300 meters, but back to the sh*tty 200 meter base model. I’m honestly really frustrated right now. I don’t yet have the blueprints for the vehicle upgrade console, so I couldn’t even fabricate the depth module if I wanted to.
If I can’t spawn the seamoth depth module mk1, can anyone tell me where to find the blueprints for the vehicle upgrade console?

I see someone else posted recently with the same issue. I’m hoping this isn’t a bug, and if it is- it needs to be fixed. I had to swim all the way back to base without sea glide because my batteries died while farming (of course). Not to mention, I now have to fabricate another seamoth. :steamfacepalm:

Warpers will only interact with vehicles if you're currently inside of one, yes. There usually are a few bonesharks in the general area, so even if there weren't any there when you left it, one might have wandered by later on. That said, they tend to ignore things unless the lights are left on.

It's either a basic glitch with the Seamoth disappearing from existence for no reason, or it has to do with terrain like the mushrooms not actually existing until they "pop in" as you get near them. So, as you moved away and the terrain removed itself from memory, the reaper (which still exists) could potentially have dipped down and munched on the Seamoth. Although it seems a little odd that they'd patrol that far into the forest without being taunted...

But yeah, terrain pop-in has supposedly gotten much better with the updates leading up to release, but it used to be pretty bad. The combination of things not existing until you're close to them and the fact that the pop-in sometimes took a fair amount of time meant that if you were going too fast you could potentially be *inside* a terrain object when it finally manifested itself. I had this happen to me and got my Seamoth irrevocably impaled on a sunken wreck... I had to leave the area to get the terrain to wipe, then charge in again at full speed to knock it out of position before the wreck spawned in again.

Warpers can hit pretty hard...but im not sure the fauna will randomly attck vehicles unprovoked...

As for the depth module, you can actually build one yourself at the vehicle mod station

the reaper ignores collisions with the ground but ur seamoth was probably destroyed by a boneshark
