EDIT: Since Steam doesn't seem to save the current time of the video, you will want to go to 9:53 in the video.
1. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ around in creative mode on various experimental versions testing stuff, sometimes would turn god mode on and observe them and other predators.
2. Got a stasis rifle and the EDS for the Seamoth
3. Got a P.R.A.W.N. with armor upgrades and a grapling arm and fought a reaper in melee until he ran away.
4. Whiskey.
Also, for the Aurora, if you swim in (naked, no seamoth required) from the first open bars you can get inside the aurora. It's still a little unnerving to me, even if in a vehicle, to go to the Aurora, but as long as you stay near the surface and away from where the front of the ship used to be you should be good.
reapers only "see" you by echo-location screams, so if you are fear enough away to see one and you can sneak by then go for it, use their echo-location screams against them and measure where they are compared to you.
ghost leviathans will only notice you if you are more closer to them than the reaper, so long as you are not cavitating the cyclops or making too much noise in the water, you shouldn't get noticed by it despite its proximity.
you still have another leviathan sized creature to face that is hostile and it is far more active and can see you at a distance so much so it's head turns when it is looking at you. you will find out about that later on.
There is nothing important in the game that requires facing a reaper leviathan. You should be able to easily go through the entire game without ever seeing one.

As for the Ghost Leviathans in the Grand Reef, I haven't bothered to note their exact locations because the only time I did run into one, I just went past him and he didn't seem to mind. In fact, it took me a few seconds to notice the red dot on my Cyclops' radar, and looked out the window and went "huh... yeah, that's a ghost leviathan, alright". He was swimming right nearby, didn't seem to even notice me.
