Leviathan Class Predators and how to avoid them at all costs?
I have a fear of both Ghost and Reaper Leviathans, mainly reapers, this fears so bad i'm afraid to go deep into the Nortthern Bloodkelp zone, and Grand Reef. I'm also afraid to go to the Aurora, Mountain, and Dunes. Is there anyway to get over these fears and face them head on?

Build a lot of scanners to scout all areas ahead of you with cameras. You will never be attacked by a reaper using this method. Once you found the reaper place a camera in the middle of it's patrol path. The camera servers as a beacon. Keep your distance from that camera and you will never be attacked.

Yes, go to those areas in the PRAWN. When the reaper grabs you in the PRAWN you're protected and just drill him in the face with the drill arm. He'll drop you and you jump out and repair the minor damage he did to the PRAWN. You're truly protected in the PRAWN suit. I tangle with Reaper and Ghost leviathans all the time in the PRAWN and never had one destroyed.

Seamoth Perimeter Defense System & two Torpedo Systems loaded with Vortex Torpedoes. Nothing quite gets the fear of the Reaper out of your system like watching it spin around in a circle for a bit then get flung ^_^

Or you could do this:

EDIT: Since Steam doesn't seem to save the current time of the video, you will want to go to 9:53 in the video.

Leviathan show up in scanner room, so you can build scanner in known reaper area and always see where they are assuming you use HUD chip

How I *partially* resolved my Leviathan fear.

1. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ around in creative mode on various experimental versions testing stuff, sometimes would turn god mode on and observe them and other predators.
2. Got a stasis rifle and the EDS for the Seamoth
3. Got a P.R.A.W.N. with armor upgrades and a grapling arm and fought a reaper in melee until he ran away.
4. Whiskey.

Also, for the Aurora, if you swim in (naked, no seamoth required) from the first open bars you can get inside the aurora. It's still a little unnerving to me, even if in a vehicle, to go to the Aurora, but as long as you stay near the surface and away from where the front of the ship used to be you should be good.

reapers only "see" you by echo-location screams, so if you are fear enough away to see one and you can sneak by then go for it, use their echo-location screams against them and measure where they are compared to you.

ghost leviathans will only notice you if you are more closer to them than the reaper, so long as you are not cavitating the cyclops or making too much noise in the water, you shouldn't get noticed by it despite its proximity.

you still have another leviathan sized creature to face that is hostile and it is far more active and can see you at a distance so much so it's head turns when it is looking at you. you will find out about that later on.

This map shows all the reaper leviathan locations. They are out of the way and easy to avoid, if you know where they are and where you are.

There is nothing important in the game that requires facing a reaper leviathan. You should be able to easily go through the entire game without ever seeing one.

As for the Ghost Leviathans in the Grand Reef, I haven't bothered to note their exact locations because the only time I did run into one, I just went past him and he didn't seem to mind. In fact, it took me a few seconds to notice the red dot on my Cyclops' radar, and looked out the window and went "huh... yeah, that's a ghost leviathan, alright". He was swimming right nearby, didn't seem to even notice me.

I conquered my fear of reapers by studying them with scanner room bots. They completely ignore them, so I was able to observe them from complete safety. Once you understand something, its not scary anymore. They are just animals, they are not hell bent on killing you, they just want to eat...

Know that you can easily outrun them. Look for their shadows, and make sure to listen to their roars.
