Even when a stupid shark attacks me.
The deep dark places are juste à little annoying for me. Can't find my way... Have to manage a lot of beacons lol.
Sometimes, I m even to confident. Playing around while a leviathan is in the area. Not a good idea, but I get the cyclops blueprint !! And.... When I gone back to my sub... Someone steals my seamoth... That's unfortunate lol ! "come back here leviathan ! It's mine !"
So that's the screetch I was hearing..
Yeah... Im still playing survival, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥ i feel like screaming when ocean floor vanishes under you and you hear those noises around you... Something moved in the distance or was it my imagination... Even when i have the seamoth im crapping my pants because once i was attacked by that red big thing im scared when im out of the starting zone.
That Aurora ship wreckage is depressing too because i know what lurks around it and one of my quests are close to it.
I mean i have played many horror games and im old silent hill veteran (35years old), but this is next level stuff.
Maybe I try to uppgrade my equipment or are the pod "rescue" quests necessary to proceed in the game?
Like if we were traveling by boat to a dive site, and if I were to be dropped off in between in the open, if I had to look down I would die from terror, just seeing a black nothingness underneath me.
And this game excells at that!
Actually reminds me of a wreck I dived to once (which technically violated my diver's license, but we had good instructors with us and they weren't concerned taking me). It was at 40m and now that I think of it, I should have been pretty terrified of that, but the thing is the water was murky as heck! Couldn't see much beyond 10m or so. And we were decsending by a line, so I always had that point of reference and the poor visibility obscured any "deep dark" from me.
In this game though, the water is crystal clear, and you can see for thousands of meters...
