Bulkheads are used to separate different tube sections (Say, between a T section and an X section) Or i believe between say a moonpool and a tube section. Basically to section off tubes.

Also, if you are after hull strength. When you get lithium you'll be able to craft the reinforcement plates.

Foundations and bulkheards are only worth +2 hull.

plates are worth +7, or +14 if they are on a main wall of something like a multipurpose room (They go where you could put a window or airlock).
