Please Help! Advanced materials?

I'm trying to craft Aerogel. I have rubies and I have gel sacks. I've scanned them both.

I can't see "Advanced Materials" in my Fabricator. It isn't even there. What am I missing?

you could try getting it by unlocking benzene by getting blood oil

I just tested it and it unlocked for me the moment i picked up a jelly plant, 2 things you could test
1 are you left clicking to pick up the gel sack to pick it up and not knifeing it?
2 are you looking in the correct place in the fabricator it should be under the top option(resources) then between basic materials and electronics

I don't remember, but is unlocking the PRAWN first necessary for this blueprint? I personally did that and ended up unlocking the Aerogel BP just fine. What I also don't recall, is whether or not it was a data storage that gave the BP.

No it is not, I started a new game in freedom mode then spawned in a ruby then a gel sack
