How to i pick my Cuddlefish back up and put it back inside?

i took it out to play now i can't get it back inside, and im worried its either going to despawn or get killed by the Sharks everywhere.

It might get killed if sharks are around. Near my base there are no hostile fauna at all and so far my cuddlefish hasn't despawned. It's always there waiting for me when I come back.

You can tell it to stay and follow

They just swim around outside your base or wherever you go, and unfortunately, get attacked by every predator in the zone.

Just don't tell it to follow you, if you get into your submarine and go anywhere, it'll try to follow you and end up in a cave somewhere unrelated on its way and be lost forever, or get eaten.

i got it stuck in my base after using the propulsion cannon and throwing it in my base... it took 30 minutes to get it out.

The cuddlefish is really hard to kill. The devs gave it 10000 health so that it won't die.

Kill all the sharks first.

Just command it to follow (using R-click when in range) and lead it to a safe area. Easy peasy. Then command it to "Stop Follow"ing you. It will stay in that "safe" area. Just be sure it's not an area the Stalkers like to travel back n forth. Even in the "safe" shallows, they can be a problem.

get gravity gun,pick it up with it,go to base,switch gravity gun to something else.

I put my Cuddlefish in the Bio reactor, don't need to worry about him anymore.:o
